Cingular - The inside Phones/PDA's. Buyers Guide AT&T

I own a Cingular Wireless store and come across many customers who complain about phones or tell me they just love their phone. I personally think every phone fits a different type of person. If someone wants to get their elder mother/father or even grandparents a cell phone for emergency purposes or just to talk to them sometimes, they should get the most simple phone there is. A flip phone would be much better so they dont accidently dial out and waste their minutes. A great phone for them would be the Samsung X497, Nokia 6061, Motorola V190, or Samsung X427. If you are someone who drives a lot or talks a lot and needs a Bluetooth earpiece but doesn't really care about anything else in the phone then the Samsung D357 is a great phone for you. It is pretty small and nice looking. It has Bluetooth connectivity and even has Push-to-Talk if you want to add that feature. It is simple to use and very durable. If you are looking for a nice phone with a camera try the Samsung P207, Samsung D807, Ericsson Z520, or Motorola V220. If you want to get a phone that has almost everything you need you should try the Sony Ericsson W600i. This phone is loaded with tonsss of features that you will enjoy using such as a MP3 player, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Great Gaming modes, 1.3MP camera, plus it looks awesome. Other phones with similar features are the Motorola V3i, the Motorola L7 SLVR, and the Samsung P777.

Now for the PDA users...Many people are stuck using their Blackberry phones because they think its the best PDA/phone. Well the phone quality on the Blackberry isn't so good and their keyboards are the best either. I personally have the Cingular 8125 PDA Pocket PC which is one of the best in its class. It has all the features you need and then some. It has Windows Mobile 5 which makes it very easy to use and includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. This phone has a large slide out keyboard which actually feels like a mini keyboard unlike the Blackberry or Treo. With WiFi everything is at your fingertips at a push of a button. Did I mention this phone is Touchscreen?

Now some short remarks about some of the popular phones.

Motorola V3 Razr - Nice looking, Fragile, Dust collects inside the screen.

Motorola L7 SLVR - Great looks!, Nice menu, Reception is not so great, speaker is low.

Nokia 6102 - Durable phone, okay camera, menu is not that good. FM Radio.

Samsung C417 - Very Slim. Nice looking. Cannot send/recieve files via Bluetooth.

Motorola L2 - Very similar to L7 SLVR. Reception is not so great. Bad Keypad. Bluetooth

Cingular 3125 - Very Nice. Great phone overall. Kind of slow for Windows 5. Pretty small for a smartphone.

Pantech C120 - Nice n' Small. Great starter phone. Camera. Lacks other special features. Great Price!!

Here are some European Phones or Unlocked Unbranded Phones.

Unlocked phones simply mean that they can be used with any GSM carrier depending on their frequency. QuadBand phones included GSM 850/900/1800/1900. Cingular uses 850Mhz and 1900Mhz. T-Mobile uses 1800Mhz and most countries outside the USA use 900Mhz. Companies lock the other bands so they can only be used with their service so the phone becomes exclusive to that certain carrier.

Samsung D900 - Excellent phone!! 3.1MP camera. Very slim. Kind of Fragile, QuadBand

Sony Ericsson K800 - Best Camera and Flash on a phone. 3.2MP Cybershot (Autofocus - Carl Zeiss Lense) camera with a Xenon FLASH! QuadBand

Nokia N93 - Great Camera! Extra Large Screen, Weak Hinge, Bulkyy. Nice features

Nokia 8800 - Looks and feels great! Nothing extraordinary. All stainless steel housing and interior.

Thats it for now. Check back again for more updates!! If you have any questions about other phones or services contact me and I will provide my feedback for them.
